TechAviv Peer Awards LIVE

by Yaron Samid on December 29, 2009 · 22 comments

After three weeks of public and members-only voting, over 100 startups nominated and 6,000 votes cast, we have our Top 5 Finalists of the TechAviv Peer Awards. Face.com, my6sense, 5min, Colnect and 6rounds will compete live on Wednesday, Dec 30th, 7:00pm for the right to claim the crown of Top Israeli Startup of 2009. The event will be broadcast live by TechAviv member LiveU.

UPDATE: 5min Wins!

CLICK HERE FOR LIVE EVENT BROADCAST (Dec 30th, 7:00PM Israel Time)

TechAviv Peer Awards Finalists:

The finals competition is a closed, members-only event of the TechAviv Founders Club in Israel which includes 600 Israeli hi-tech startup founders and investors. In typical TechAviv fashion, we’re crowdsourcing the competition. Rather than have a panel of so-called experts pick the winner, Israel’s founders and investors will select the winner via live SMS vote after the startups get 10 minutes each on stage to impress their peers. See who’s coming here.

Congrats to all of the great startups that were nominated and best of luck to our finalists!

It’s important to note, as many have commented, that many fine Israeli startups outside our mainly Internet, web and mobile software and services membership were not nominated. We may include different category awards next year as a result.

Thank you for those kind words Joy, coming from a (woman) ???? who looks like a bad drag queen and that whinney voice. Let’s see Joy, people who read books buy em, how many did Sarah sell, like over a million? And Joy, people who don’t read watch TV!!!! So Joy, looks like your base don’t read!!!

All this enlightenment coming from someone whose fan base doesn’t even get off the couch to change their soiled depends let alone go to the store to buy a book. Sad, really.

I quit “The View” because of J Behar and her cohorts “smarter than thou” liberal comments, insults and what she THINKS are funny jokes about anyone who is not a Liberal. If she thinks she is funny with her insults…..she is WRONG 100%.
Insulting Sarah Palin shows me just how DUMB JOY BEHAR REALLY IS!!!! Behar is someone who needs to stroke her own EGO constantly by bashing others who she feels are less-superior to her.

Regarding her show? What a waste of air time!!!

Hey Joy I read and I bought Palin’s book. As a matter of fact I have a college degree, do you?
I would consider your insults a compliment, especially when the facts are; the Hollywood crowd is largely uneducated or undereducated therefore their statements and assertions concerning anybody’s political views or personnal intelligence are absurd. What is Ms. Behar’s I.Q., 80? I will bet her I.Q. is no higher than 100. I would also like to ask how many books does Joy Behar have in print?

Still worrying about Sarah Palin I see. She’s really got the liberals panties in a knot. LOL

Joy Behar, Sarah Palin has more class in her little finger than your entire fugly body. You whinny, angry little biotch. Say that to her face you gutless turd. She will kick your arse.

The nerve. I’m sure most of them can read when they move their lips.

Nobody cares about Joy Behar. She’s lucky that Walters still employs her ass on that show. Her own talk show will be cancelled—and no one will miss Joy Behar.

Sorry, Joy—-when America thinks of a female role model….somehow it does not conjure up images of anyone like you!

Sarah Palin is intelligent, strong, independent and is someone to be admired. Whether or not she ever becomes President- she has earned her respect from millions and nothing can take that away from her.

I’m sure Joy was a loud mouthed kid and sent from the family home to live under the nearest rock. Please go back…….

I have stopped watching The View because of Joy Behar. She isn’t funny and her humor is always directed at making fun of other people. If anyone turns the table on her she becomes very hostile and mean spirited. I have seen Bill O’Reilly put her in her place a couple of times and while it is amusing, she is certainly not gracious or good natured. It’s only funny if she does it. Personally, all the folks who praised Obama should be smart enough to now keep their mouths shut.

This is why I can’t take anything the Republicans do or say seriously. In all honesty! Is this what the GOPer’s consider a strong, intelligent leader? It would be the worst four seasons of Beverly Hillbillies I have ever seen.
_________
SM: you shall see in 2010, 2012 and thereafter … i bet they know how to read a voting ballot. Keep up the insults, liberals will be washed away.

Reading this post(I do not watch the show)I laughed quite heartily. I appreciate good humor. President Reagan was great with his and that is what I am probably reading into it.

Oh, I know that Joy is more than likely being vindictive and catty, but all the same she is harmless enough for a good laugh.

That seems to be the qualitative difference between Conservatives and liberals. We can take a joke and laugh at ourselves(we are also quite capable of dishing it out!). The libs tend to get bent out of shape. Boy, are they in for a rude awakening in 2010 & 2012 when we get the last laugh.

Here comes change we all can believe in!!!

…and the more that they launch meaningless verbal attacks on Sarah Palin, the more endearing she will become to mainstream America.

These so-called ‘celebrities.’ What has Sandra Bernhardt ever done (apart from going down on Madonna)? Joy Behar has done even less.

Ten minutes of the Joy Behar show convinced me that this woman has about as much brain power as a ten year old. If this show lasts beyond the end of the year, I will be suprised. What a waste of air time.

SM: The LEFT complains about waterboarding being torture. I tend to think be forced to watch Joy Behar night be worse

I think all the uproar over Sarah Palin is good to see. Her candor and honesty is discomforting to the dishonest. Can’t wait for the elections!

Re 17: You lasted longer than I did. How can anyone watch that nonsense? Where in the world did she come from and how could anyone think she deserves her own show? And the few minutes of it I watched were punctuated by some silly laugh track that made no sense whatsoever.
